Lets Talk…

Happy, happy Wednesday everyone! I hope you are excited about the new month on the horizon and have had a fun-filled summer with adventure and exploration. I found myself in a creative rut the past few weeks, for reasons I’m still not quite sure of but it did give me the opportunity to look inward and reevaluate the purpose of this blog and what I hope to achieve. My reasoning behind starting MSF was to keep health-related topics in one place, an easy to understand simple approach to trending and traditional topics in the health and wellness industry. When I […]

Motivation Monday: Fashionably Sustainable

Happy Monday! I can’t believe it’s already the last week of August, this summer really has flown by. This past weekend was comprised of a lot of catch up consisting of errands, doing things around the house and an 8-hour training for Pilates (which I absolutely LOVED). My Friday post didn’t quite make it out on time so I am saving it for another week. Sometimes that’s just how it goes, right? One of the items on my to-do list this weekend was to get a pedicure…I know it’s pretty terrible but someone’s gotta do it 😉 While I was […]

Wellness Wednesday: Crystal Therapy

Crystals have an interesting backstory. Some extremists have gone to great lengths to harness this unachievable “power” emptying their bank accounts and making headlines which have contributed to the ‘voodoo/hocus pocus’ reputation these mystical rocks have gotten. Whether you are a believer in the power of crystals or not it is undeniable that any natural mass has the ability to harness energy and affect the environment around it. Those who believe in their power are convinced certain crystals harbor energy and are able to store, transmit and transform energy. Many people who are in the pursuit of health, wellness and […]

MSF Travel: Island Hopping Greece, Part V

Welcome back to a new week, full of promise and opportunity. This is the last installment of my island hopping around Greece where I summarize each stop along our trip we took in June. After we left Santorini we headed down to Rhodes, the most diverse and interesting island in my opinion. The landscape of Rhodes is full of vegetation and has rocky cliffs with some sand and rock beaches dispersed along its coast. We had the most connections on this island because this is where my brother studied abroad in college so we had many points of reference and […]

Fit Friday: 5 Best Crunches for Summer Abs

Happy Friday! I am going to stay true to the brand and keep this post short and SIMPLE. Even though summer is in full swing I know there’s most of us still looking for a short cut or two that will give us a little more confidence in our swimsuit. There’s always room for improvement, right? I figured a quick run down on some of my favorite tried and true moves to slim those lower abs (aka the pooch) and obliques (aka muffin top) would be beneficial for most, especially this time of year. I am on my way to […]

Wellness Wednesday: 3 Simple Steps to Repair Summer Hair

Hello hump day! Summer is going by way too fast and I need it to slow down just a tad, how about you? With all that fun in the sun this summer I’m beginning to see the affects in my hair. I’m sure I’m not alone in feeling my hair is resembling broom’s bristles so I’ve been giving it some extra TLC lately to combat the dry, cracked feeling. The steps to repair your hair from heat and sun damage are so simple and straightforward that I needed to post about it and share with any fellow sufferers out there. […]

MSF Travel: Island Hopping Greece, Part IV

A new week is upon us and with it the opportunity to spend it however we choose. I am going to stand on my soapbox for just one second, so bear with me. I feel like there is a lot of entitlement in the air lately and its something we should try to steer clear from. We are faced with choices that dictate our future more than we may even realize. If you choose to stay home binge watching Netflix and eating Cheetos, that is your right but also your choice. If you decide to work as many jobs as […]

Fit Friday: MSF Summertime Trail Mix

Friday is here! I am so ready for grilled pizza night and maybe even a movie? It has been incredible weather this week and I’m hoping to take advantage of it this weekend with some time at the beach and a pool party for a special little mermaid who turns one 🙂 I was thinking of healthy snacks that I could just grab and go since I will be teaching Pilates in the morning and going straight to an event afterwards. It’s hard to think of things that you don’t need to refrigerate or won’t melt to a gooey mess […]

Wellness Wednesday: Stretching Your Way to Healthy

Here we are mid week already and I don’t know about you but I wish I could hit pause for a quick sec and get ahead of my to-do list. When I have a couple of busy weeks back to back there is always a day where it hits me and I need a reset. Yesterday was one of those for me and I found myself just needing to slow down, incorporate some stretching and self-care. I felt so much better after just a five minute break on my mat stretching. It gave me the idea to share with you […]

MSF Travel: Island Hopping Greece, Part III

Happy Monday friends, I hope you had a restful/productive weekend and are ready to take on another week. I’m ready to take you on a little adventure and continue with my island hopping series in Greece. After the hustle and bustle of the city on mainland Greece, it was nice to jet off to Mykonos where we had some serious rest and relaxation. It was refreshing to get a mini break from the “go go go” we experienced, because unlike Athens where there is an endless amount of historical sites to see, the islands get a little less hectic and […]
